Nawab Saif Ali Khan believes Bollywood is an unsafe career choice for her daughter Sara. Being a father, Saif is concerned about Sara Ali Khan, who is going to make her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath.
In an interview with the media, the 46 six year old said that acting is a risky and unstable profession and he does not want her daughter to join the industry.
The Bollywood actor, who was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon further expressed that actors live in invariable fear of not getting work despite succeeding.
The frustration and unhappiness of Saif was clearly noticed when he said, “Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn’t she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this?”
However, the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and the late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan added further that he’s not ‘looking down’ at acting but just concerned, like any other parent would and that he’s still by her side.
Sounding incredulous about his daughter’s voyage in showbiz, he said, “This is not the life any parent would want for their children.”
This is not the first time a Bollywood father has shown his anxiety. Earlier, Sanjay Dutt had said that he wanted to break the legs of his daughter Trisha when she had expressed her craving to act in films.
The upcoming first venture of Sara Ali Khan, ‘Kedarnath’ is reported to be a love story which is expected to go on floors at the end of the year.
