Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav claimed that his father Mulayam Singh Yadav was continuously complaining against him to the PM Narendra Modi.
Samajwadi Party president, Akhilesh said that some senior party leaders tried their hard to freeze the party symbol but because of his uncle and party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav, they failed in their conspiracy.
Addressing a gathering to celebrate the 71th birthday of Mr Ram Gopal Yadav, Akhilesh said, “Netaji(Mulayam) is not annoyed with Ram Gopal but he is totally against me and even complained to Prime Minister. I got to know through Mr Modi that my father had expressed his annoyance against me.”
“If Ram Gopal had not been with me, the bicycle symbol would not have been given to SP. Then what had we done in the assembly elections. It was only due to the hard work of Ram Gopal that we got the symbol and now the party is cruising ahead,” he claimed.
Declaring that the organizers of this birthday celebrations had invited Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav but he did not come. “Had Netaji attended this function, it would have been a grand event,” he said.
The former CM of UP also paid greetings to Mr Ram Gopal by saying, “We will fulfill the dreams of Netaji to achieve the goal which he had thought of though the road of politics is bumpy.”
“On the international Yoga Day, I had asked the PM first to ride a cycle and then do yoga but he did not give any cognizance of my advice but when Netherland’s PM asked Mr Modi to ride a bicycle he did it immediately,” Akhilesh said taking a jibe on PM Modi.
“Bicycle ride is always good for health and no one can stop the progress of bicycle in the world,” he added.
