INDIA TEST FIRES AGNI-IV

Today, India test fired ‘Agni-4’, one of the most advanced long- range missile system, from a Road Mobile System from the Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast. Agni- 4 was test fired at 1150 IST from the launch complex 4 of the Abdul Kalam Island, inside the Bay of Bengal.

The missile designed with a target range of 4000 km and is considered as one of “its kind” of world- class weapon infused with new technologies with capability of carrying Strategic Warheads for the defense Forces.

According to Defence sources, this powerful Missile System is operational with highly reliable modern and compact Avionics. Ring Laser Gyros-based high accuracy INS (RINS) and Micro Navigation System (MINGS) have been successfully flown in guidance mode. All the Radars and electro-optical systems along the Coast of Odisha have diligently monitored all essential parameters of the carrying Vehicle.
