Eid Mubarak: B-Town celebs send out Eid greetings to all

A time for feasting and celebration; Eid comes at the end of Ramadan and marks the start date for Eid al-Fitr and end of Ramadan. The holy festival is being celebrated today throughout the globe with great pomp and show following with the warm wishes to dear ones. Bollywood celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Rishi Kapoor, Randeep Hooda and many more, took to Twitter to wish “Eid Mubarak” to all and sundry.

Abhishek Bachahan posted an image on his Twitter account captioned with “Eid Mubarak’.

Rishi Kapoor also delivered his greetings to fans by saying, “Wishing all an “Eid Mubarak” in advance before the Twitter gets busy! God Bless you with Health,Peace and Prosperity!”

“Eid Mubarak sabko.Bring on d Biryani and d Sheer Qorma.Its the official Gluttony Day.If you don’t pass out with Food Qorma tto Eid nahi hui”,said Shabana Azmi.

Randeep Honda also posted on the microblogging site and said, “To millions across the world #ChandraatMubarak #EidMubarak.”

“Eid Mubarak to all. Love, peace and happiness always,” posted Anupam Kher.

Another Bollywood actress Tapsee Pannu also sent the greetings to fans and tweeted, “Eid Mubarak!!! Let the celebrations beginnnnnnn.”

Marking the start of the month of celebretions, this year Eid starts today (Sunday June 25).During Eid, Muslims often purchase new clothes for the occasion, and take part in festivals and celebrations.

Many will wake up early to pray at a mosque or outdoor prayer venue.

Gifts and cards are often exchanged among friends and family.

Eid means “celebration” and Mubarak means “blessed”, often Eid Mubarak is used as a greeting over this period.
